My Voice is My Own
Having neglected my blog lately I feel the need to explain that I have been incredibly busy and have not felt the energy to do … one…. more… thing….But I have started to feel like I am getting back into the swing of things and am dealing with all my responsibilities in a more balanced fashion - which may sound like the diary of a self-imposed overachiever… and that might be right.
Look for some interesting posts soon as my love and I are entering into a new stage of eating habits. He is a diabetic and me being gluten-intolerant plus I can’t have soy. Let’s just say it’s been an interesting learning experience in the kitchen. Very soon we are going to be imposing a new food regimen (I hate the word diet because food and tastes makes me want to live, ya know?). This new food regiment is in response to some research he has been doing on how to control his diabetes better with food and less medication. It is apparently gluten free as well, but I must catch up on the reading he has given me to go thru. So definitely look for more information soon on this experiment of ours. I must say I am a believer in the healing properties of food in so many ways and I am very much looking forward to this process of learning we are experiencing. I am especially appreciative of how my spouse enjoys cooking and takes such involvement in the process of food that comes into our house and crosses our lips.
On an unrelated note, I have always felt that I had no “voice” when it comes to my writing. So I am wondering if - as time goes on - that voice will emerge from this blog. My internal monologue is terrific at times and I have a very sharp tongue at times - the good news is that I have a good filter for those comments and most don’t make it through. My odd humor and wit is not necessarily appreciate by everyone and I like it that way. Ciao for now.
