Inspired by a recent post from Heidi, I immediately set about using her creativity for my own ends. Now, you must understand that my mother cooks these excellent baby red potatoes and then sautees them in a pan for browning – along with rosemary. My own version includes onions (as I usually love them in a dish) and I broil the potatoes (once they are partially cooked) because I don’t have a pan as big as mom’s.
I blame Heidi because she is just so darn creative that it forces me to seek higher ground in my food preparation and care. As it turns out I ended up taking some of the sauteed rosemary-onion mixture and mixing it with butter to make a kind of flavored accessory to the potatoes dish. It was such a hit at dinner with our small group that it got rave reviews! If you love food I would encourage you to check out her site.
